Milord's dam goes back to English and American Ch. Granemore's Slieve Gullion and American and Canadian Ch. Kerrywoods Expectation.

American, English, Canadian, Norwegian, Swedish, and Bermudian Ch. Carholme Charles, by English Ch. Wulfteda Rhiwlas Digger out of English Ch. Underbridge Unesco. Bred by M. Baynard and J . Manning. Winner of four Best-in-Show awards and numerous Group awards, Carholme Charles also sired some fifty champions.

American and Mexican Ch. Tontine's Something Else, above, bred, owned, and handled by Ray and Lou Perry. Sire, Ch. Maylew's Main Event; dam, Ch. Donagayl's Shannon Sprite. A Best-in-Show winner, Something Else is the sire of nine champion get.

Downsview Double Gleam

She was owned by Ruth Stiles in Barton, Torquay, England and bred by Mrs Hiles in Gloucestershire. She was bought as a pup by Gill Smith (Campbell) and registered with the Downsview affix. She was by Downsview Doublestar out of Spooners Sweet Sue and was born in 1962.

Ruth Stiles still lives in Torquay but now breeds British Short Haired cats. (2007)

Incidentally the person who took the Downsview photos was Rosemary Smith who founded the Downsview kennels in 1932.

Ch. Wedgewood's Leaps'N Bounds, by Ch. Townshend's Mr. Chips ex Ch. Wedgewood's Peppermint Pattie. Bred by Maryanne and Richard Schaeffer. Owned by Nancy Robards. Leaps 'N Bounds had numerous Group placements and ten Best-of-Breed wins.

At right, Ch. Townshend's Mr. Chips, by Ch. Melbee's Chances Are out of Ch. Townshend's Fair Erin, C.D. Mr. Chips was bred by Heard and Edith Izant, and owned by Colonel Poor and Maryanne Schaeffer. Handled by Rick Chashoudian and Dora Lee Wilson, Mr. Chips was a Group winner.
