Over 15 Years Old Club

I have always been curious, as I know have others, about the lives of the oldest members of the Kerry canine community.
I’ve always thought that by studying them, it might uncover the Secret to Long Life, which my own Kerries could benefit from.

• How do they make it to 15, 16, 17 or even 18?
• Is the key in their lifestyle?
• What has their diet over time? (type of kibble, home prepared diet, supplements, treats)
• Have they had an Olympic exercise routine over time?
• How much exercise are they getting at their advanced age?
• Have they developed any health issues or limitations with aging?
• When dealing with a health issue do they seek the advice of traditional western veterinary care, alternative therapies (Acupuncture, Chiropractic) or both.
• What is their Temperament, are they laid back and easy going?
• Do Height/weight play a part?
• Or maybe it’s their genes (provide a brief pedigree)
• What does a 15, 16, 17 or even 18 year old Kerry look like?

So I thought it would be fun to devote a section of the website to explore the lives of Kerries who reach 15 years of age and I volunteered to help pull it together.

Any Kerry past, present or future, over 15 years of age, is eligible and encouraged to participate.

I know there are a host of people with younger kerries just waiting to study the lives of these kerries, and try to understand the key to long life.
