Sea Horse

by Emily Lux

For an unsinkable good time, give the Go Dogs Sea Horse a try.

The lime green cutie is constructed from super-soft neoprene that’s double-seemed for extra durability. Fuchsia flowers lend a slight tropical flair. And it’s machine washable, too. Best of all: this guy floats.

So out came the baby pool and in went the Sea Horse. Finn acted as lifeguard, diving in to rescue his new buddy under the watchful eye of his baby sister, Fiona. Surprisingly both Kerries seem to be landlubbers – neither wanted to play with the toy in the pool. They preferred to frolic in the yard with it dangling from their mouths.

So far, the Sea Horse has withstood countless retrieving adventures as well as a few spirited games of tug-of-war.

Drawbacks: this toy absorbs a decent amount of water so it can get a lil’ heavy (not that Finn or Fiona had any trouble carrying it about). And it needs to be air dried before making its entrance into the house. Though it’s machine washable, I have to wonder if the imprinted flowers and facial features would hold up after a few cleanings.

All in all, if your pup has found his sea legs, this toy may really float your Kerry’s boat.
