Note
Jack, 7-year old maleRescue Coordinator: George Hanna <GeorgeWHanna@msn.com> Rescue Write-Up Jack is a 7-year old purebred altered male Kerry Blue Terrier. Natural Ears - Pet Haircut - Fall has been trimmed way back. Jack is being fostered in Savannah Ga. - He is currently living with 6 other Kerries and has had no issues. He seems to do better with other dogs around he loves to have attention and company. He has been around my 3-year old son and has done fine - would not recommend young kids full time until Jack is a little older He does fine around Livestock. I am not sure about a cat. He is up to date on all shots. Hart worm test was negative. Jack is a great Kerry and is fine on or off lead and just wants to be with someone he will lay around all day as long as you are close by.
Please contact me for more information on Jack, or complete the adoption questionnaire. George Hanna George Hanna
January 4, 2012Laddie, a 5-year old male (Adoption Pending)Rescue Coordinator: Sharon Arkoff <sharonarkoff@yahoo.com>
Laddie is described by his very loving owners as the perfect companion dog in a hundred ways. He is funny, playful, affectionate, loyal, loves long walks with his mom, and car rides, and going roller-blading with his dad, and loves meeting new people, though he can be alittle enthusiastic about the greeting process if not guided in how to behave like a civilized kerry.
April 12, 2012Laddie has been placed. Brian, a 3-year old maleRescue Coordinator: Linda Grisley <lgrisley@shaw.ca>
Here's a lucky Irish lad born on St. Patrick's Day 2009 who would love a new home. Brian was auctioned in the US and put into a pet store in Ontario as a puppy. The pet store had difficulty selling him (good!!) so a kindly lady purchased him after watching him languishing there for a couple of months. Brian joined his housemate, an adult standard poodle, who gracefully took him under his wing and taught him to be the lovely boy he has now grown into. (the poodle says credit goes to their owner as well ) Unfortunately, for the poodle, Brian has reached that adolescent-to-adult stage of pushiness and is beginning to attempt to dominate in the household. He has not shown any aggression as yet, but is intimidating the now older poodle. His owner has also taken on a full time job and does not have the time any more to devote to Brian's requirements for exercise and stimulation. It's time for Brian to move along to another home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves.
April 30, 2012Brian has been placed.
Kelly & Kerry, a 2-year old brothersRescue Coordinator: Sharon Arkoff <sharonarkoff@yahoo.com> In collaboration with Kerry Blue Rescue of Chicago, we would like to let the list know about Kelly and Kerry, two 2-yo purebred kerry males, brothers, who find themselves in need of new homes of their own. They have been living with an older owner who found that the two boys were just getting to be too much for her. They reportedly are well-socialized with people and good with children, and are funny, affectionate, healthy, endearing, and very smart. Both just really want to find and be with their people. In a kerry-savvy home that would provide attention, guidance, and help them gain confidence, they would absolutely relax and blossom. They're not well-socialized to other dogs, and have had a few spats with each other. Both would likely be very different dogs in their own homes, without another adolescent male terrier in their face 24/7. Kelly (placed)
