Subject: FEMALE #155, LUCY
Hello,
My wife and I adopted Lucy, after her rescue from the puppy mill in 06'.
She immediately stole our heart and the hearts of all who meet her. She
has been a pleasure to watch grow and blossom after such a bad start in
life. We can not see our lives without her. Recently, Lucy had stopped eating
and seem to be fatigued. Our first visit to the vet suggested a tooth ache,
but when she basically flopped over 5 days later, we knew that something
was wrong. After a scary weekend in the ICU to stabilize her, it has been
determined that she has Addison's disease, which we are learning is quite
a treatable condition. The silver lining is that we know what is wrong with
her, are treating her, and she has made a full recover. We have our Lucy
back! She is quite the miracle dog.
