If I could only paint.....

Our two Kerries, Katie and Kal, sometimes look like bookends! They mimic each other. One afternoon about two weeks ago, they were sitting side by side --- with their Kerry chins/beards resting on the window sill looking outside at the front flower bed.

Lo and behold a very small hummingbird (they are an extremely small bird and at times they look like a giant bee because their wings flutter rapidly) hovered for a couple of milliseconds and darted around outside the window.

I saw the hummingbird myself --- probably stopping to get some last nectar from some flowers --- before leaving the area for the winter. I watched as it went from flower to flower. Also at this same time two Kerry heads
watched this small visitor flutter and flit quickly from one flower to another.

It was hysterical to see two Kerry heads --- in unison or rather in perfect timing --- watch this small bird. Their kerry heads would quickly move from side to side watching this bird, then up and down and at one time, their Kerry heads, made a complete circle watching this hummingbird.

It was one of those cute times you wished you had a camera handy or I wish I could paint or draw and "capture" this Kerry moment on canvas....it would be so cute as a Kerry drawing or painting. Wonder what the hummingbird saw
from his/her angle? Probably BIG Kerry eyes.
